Lead Backend Developer (Typescript/AWS) Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Lead Backend Developer. As a talented leader with a passion for tackling complex challenges through software-based solutions, you'll play a crucial role in our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and guide a cross-functional team of senior backend engineers in developing core company products.
  • Drive team planning, dailies, and other ceremonies to prioritize and execute work.
  • Cultivate a respectful and supportive environment for all team members.
  • Coach and mentor team members to increase their impact through regular performance development and feedback conversations.
  • Remain hands-on and continue being active as a developer to technically support the team.
  • Design and develop cloud-native applications based on AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.
  • Design and implement test automation with a holistic approach in Frisby/Postman/Cypress.
  • Work closely with the Architects and SRE team and follow security and reliability standards.
  • Collaborate with product owners, managers, and other leaders to fully align on requirements, goals, and company OKRs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Backend Developer or Fullstack Developer with documented experience as a team/tech leader with recent projects in Typescript and Node.js.
  • Experience in engineering and implementing complex and distributed systems and applications.
  • Ability to share knowledge, experiences, and opinions on the forum via technology demos/brainstorming sessions.
  • Willingness to grow and learn with a passion for creating new solutions.
  • Experience in working closely with product and design teams as well as doing pair programming in small, agile, and cross-functional teams.
  • Providing mentorship and helping others expose their potential via straight, fact-based, and constructive feedback.
  • Being a Team Player and being able to help people grow and guide decision-making processes.
  • Fluent verbal and written skills in Polish and English.
