About the Role

Grape Up is a consulting and technology company that helps enterprises create critical applications by leveraging AI and cloud-native technologies. We are collaborating with a legendary sports car manufacturer to develop cutting-edge cloud solutions. In the face of automotive industry challenges, we are looking for a Cloud Architect to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and spikes to select the most suitable technologies and design concepts for different use cases, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical software architecture and design guidelines, work closely with peers on design strategies, and lead technical discussions relative to future architect direction across multiple teams.
  • Prototype the latest concepts and develop PoC to test and validate ideas, ensuring successful software development.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to thoroughly understand and document software requirements.
  • Create comprehensive tests and maintain proper documentation for all developed software components.
  • Work closely with other cross-functional teams and architects, including embedded and cloud teams, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of the end-to-end automotive software platform.
Requirements
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and software architecture.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a backend developer, demonstrating proficiency in tackling significant software challenges.
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a software architect, ideally for the automotive industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java/Kotlin-based enterprise applications with microservice architecture (security, scalability, resilience, async communication) in various projects.
  • Previous work with MQTT, MongoDB, and Kafka.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools.
  • Excellent understanding of maintainability, security, and code quality.
  • Experience in leading a highly technical team and the capability to provide technical direction in terms of design and implementation.
  • Very good command of English, both written and spoken (B2+/C1).
