Generator Technician

About the Role

FieldCore is seeking an exceptional Generator Winder to join our On-Site Services team in Europe. This role requires a trade-certified fitter or winder with experience working as a generator technician or with power generation equipment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspect generator equipment for damage and evidence of malfunctions.
2. Refurbish, test, and rewind generators and equipment.
3. Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable mechanical equipment.
4. Operate mobile equipment, tools, and machinery efficiently and accurately.
5. Maintain clean work areas, machines, and equipment.
6. Ensure correct documentation is used and filled out as specified on inspection and test plans, work instructions, and any quality documents.
7. Ensure that all specified records are correctly taken, reviewed, and approved.
8. Ensure that work is carried out in a safe manner and that relevant Safety and Quality documentation is complete for the task in hand.
9. Ensure all lifting equipment is correctly used, and prior to use confirms its current inspection status.
10. Ensure all work under their control is properly protected against damage whilst in the workshop or on-site and correctly packages equipment for transport to ensure protection against damage.
11. Complete all online and classroom training sessions.

Special Requirements:

1. Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.
2. Willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
3. Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.
