Salary: €190,000 - €210,000 per year

Job Description:
This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining core engine features and systems to ensure high-performance rendering, physics, and other subsystems across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of low-level programming and memory management, as well as experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity (C++), Cry Engine, or proprietary engines. Strong knowledge of multithreading and parallel programming, GPU programming, and shader languages such as HLSL, GLSL, or Metal Shaders is also required. Experience with debugging and profiling tools to optimize performance is essential. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of high-performance game engines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain core engine features and systems.
  • Optimize rendering, physics, and other subsystems to ensure high performance across various platforms.
  • Implement new engine functionalities, tools, and pipelines to support game development teams.
  • Work closely with gameplay programmers, graphics engineers, and other specialists to integrate new features and tools.
  • Debug and resolve complex issues related to engine performance and stability.
  • Evaluate and address compatibility issues with multiple hardware configurations, including consoles, PCs, and mobile devices.
  • Collaborate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
  • Maintain technical documentation for engine systems and tools.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Proficiency in C++ with a strong understanding of low-level programming and memory management.
  • Experience developing or extending game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity (C++), Cry Engine, or proprietary engines.
  • Deep understanding of rendering pipelines, physics engines, and other core engine components.
  • Strong knowledge of multithreading and parallel programming.
