About the Role

As a Data Engineer at Orange Business Services, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing data models to support our business operations in Poland and other European countries.

  1. Design and develop large-scale data models to ensure efficient data processing and storage.
  2. Collaborate with analytics and business teams to understand requirements and deliver data in the right format and at the right time.
  3. Develop and maintain databases, data warehouses, data processing, and storage systems to support our business needs.
  4. Work with partners from other countries to ensure seamless data integration and communication.
  5. Occasional business travel to other countries may be required.

About You

We are looking for a team player with great communication skills, unafraid to share their opinions and able to organize their work well. Good ability to communicate, consult with, and support Business teams is what will make you stand out as a candidate.

This position offers a hybrid or remote work model from Poland and involves some international business trips.

Skills

Our Requirements:

  • Ability to work with large amounts of data in an operational environment.
  • Experience in data engineering for AI/ML solutions hosted on-prem.
  • Experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence.
  • Good knowledge of Python language, libraries, and frameworks for data processing (preferred Spark).
  • Practical knowledge of programming environments for data analysis and Big Data technologies.
  • Good knowledge of SQL databases.
  • Experience in working with Git version control system.
  • Knowledge of English and Polish at a level allowing for fluent communication and preparation of technical documentation.

Nice to Have:

  • Higher education in Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Telecommunications, or related.
  • Experience working with Linux.
  • Knowledge about NoSQL.
  • Experience with cloud-hosted DE/AI/ML solutions (preferred GCP).
