About the Role

As a Principal Data Analyst, you'll play a key role in designing and implementing a system to support the investment process for a US-based venture capital firm. You'll work closely with our product team to integrate data from multiple systems and sources, enabling data insights, machine learning, and data-driven decision processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data capture, extraction, analysis, reporting, and visualization solutions to drive data-driven decision-making
  • Collaborate with the product team to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Partner with stakeholders to resolve key data issues and enhance data quality and consistency
  • Design and implement data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data visualization in BI tooling
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data architecture and modeling
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of professional experience as a data analyst/engineer
  • Proficiency in Python and complex SQL query writing on Snowflake or alternatives
  • Excellent experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, and Sigma
  • Good expertise in relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
  • Expertise in DBT and DBT Cloud
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Passion for good engineering practices and ability to inspire the team
