Project Manager

Motivated and experienced project managers play a critical role in the success of Motorola Solutions. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the initiation, execution, and delivery of mission-critical communications systems and its extended portfolio aspects within the SSA/UN region.

Reporting to the System Integration Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of assigned projects ensuring full turnkey delivery of contractual scope, while maintaining schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mulit-phased project or program-based activities.
  • Manage work activities of project team to include Order Management, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Facing technical teams.
  • Have an understanding of technical solution being implemented and identify any gaps to be enhanced by Engineering teams.
  • Demonstrate a firm understanding of all nine areas of PMBOK project management.
  • Establish, track, and audit project budgets, analyze variances, and develop action plans as required.
  • Represent the organization on projects and may perform in project leadership roles.
  • A project manager is accountable for accomplishing the stated project objectives within the stipulated time period and budget.
  • Ensure that the three constraints (quality, cost, and time) that face every project are properly managed.
  • Involved in the recruitment and management of project staff including project reporting, administration, and communication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of project management experience or 5+ years of project/program management or engineering experience.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Public Safety communications systems, Cellular infrastructure, Military communications, Civil construction, or IT Networks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (WORD, Excel, PowerPoint & Primavera P6).
