At Fastenal Europe, Ltd., we're looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for growing and prospecting large multi-site local and strategic account customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and discover new growth opportunities within the local market
  • Schedule and coordinate initial customer meetings and deliver high-level presentations
  • Facilitate and negotiate customer contracts and CSA's
  • Work with District Managers and General Managers to define a sales strategy and grow all locations specific to the headquarters relationship as a multiple site agreement
  • Assist and work with local teams on assigned projects to grow new business and implement services
  • Manage and document cost savings, lean programs, implementation, and the supply chain
  • Utilize CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, and other sales software
  • Meet and exceed internal sales KPI's and performance targets
Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license and ability to meet our driving record requirements
  • Possess at least 2-3 years of experience in sales or account management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel at least 35% of your time
