Your New Role...

The RTR Senior Accountant, EMEA Studios will be part of our EMEA Studios Accounting Controllership team based in Warsaw, Poland, reporting to the RTR Accounting Manager. The team is responsible for monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting, preparing statutory financial statements, reviewing account reconciliations, and supporting global financial reporting processes.

As an integral member, you will ensure compliance during audits and with SEC and SOX guidelines. Your tasks will include:

  • Proactively performing assigned tasks and processes within accounting area applying US GAAP, including management accounts and forecasting,
  • Overseeing the accounting close process together with outsource providers, providing guidance to the BPO team, and supporting troubleshooting and problem-solving during month-end close,
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX requirements, internal control environment as applicable,
  • Preparing periodical management reports, BS Flux, and SEC schedules, reconciliations, including regular analyses and metrics, as well as ad-hoc reporting,
  • Collaborating with the Studios EMEA BPO offshore team in India to identify process improvements and standardization opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness,
  • Resolving intercompany discrepancies within the group,
  • Cooperating with internal and external auditors,
  • Overseeing outsource providers for timely completion and accuracy of account reconciliations to ensure balance sheet accuracy,
  • Engaging with key Studio EMEA controllership stakeholders, including FP&A, GBS, and acting as a point of escalation.

Your Qualifications & Experience...

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A graduate degree in Finance or Accounting,
  • At least 4 years of experience in accounting roles with a strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP preferred),
  • Prior work experience in large international companies,
  • Strong technical skills, including deep knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred), MS Office applications, and Excel,
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills,
  • Detailed-oriented with a strong desire to meet deadlines and other relevant performance metrics,
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members at all levels.

Salary: Approximately €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
