Establish Reliable Digital Integration

Our mission at Vaillant Group Business Services is to provide a seamless digital journey for our customers and partners. We strive for reliable, re-usable, and secure integration between multiple backends and across various frontend applications in a domain-driven approach.

  • We are seeking an expert to establish the API Governance and API Management for internal and external APIs, analyzing and (re)designing existing and new APIs to shape our digital platform integration layer.
  • Together with digital solution development teams, you will participate in the design of our digital solution platform, establishing a stable, reliable, and re-usable API layer on top of core business functionalities.
  • You will support development teams in finding the best architectural approach for new digital solutions based on established principles and guidelines.
  • With your experience, you will help monitor, test, and improve APIs to ensure stability, reliability, performance, and security.
  • You will evaluate and establish adequate tools to manage the API landscape and run API Governance processes based on requirements.
What We Offer
  • Proven experience in complex solution design with synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns in heterogeneous and distributed system environments.
  • Clear understanding of security, scalability, reliability, and sustainability implications on API design.
  • Wide knowledge of communication protocols, integration patterns, and payload encodings, with the ability to formulate best practices into clear guidelines.
  • Familiarity with modern software development methods and tools, infrastructure as code, and a deep understanding of Java or another JVM language.
  • Knowledge of API management tools, Kafka, or JMS brokers is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, a structured way of working, and a high degree of initiative and motivation.
  • Fluent business English.
