Tax Compliance Specialist

Our client is a leading Shared Service Center in the FMCG industry, providing expert tax and finance solutions to multinational companies.

Job Overview

• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing VAT returns, EC Listings, and Intrastat reports for specific regions, including the USA and ANZ, as well as overseeing external tax returns.
• They will be responsible for reconciling VAT accounts and ensuring accurate tax processes are in place.
• A strong team player, the successful applicant will collaborate with colleagues to minimize tax-related errors and provide tax expertise for projects.
• They will also mentor junior team members and update policies and procedures during transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage VAT returns, EC Listings, and Intrastat reports for specific regions, including the USA and ANZ.
• Reconcile VAT accounts and ensure accurate tax processes.
• Collaborate with teams to minimize tax-related errors.
• Monitor tax law changes and adjust processes accordingly.
• Act as the main contact for tax audits, support financial audits, and enhance internal VAT processes.
• Update policies and procedures during transitions.
• Provide tax expertise for projects and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Finance and Tax compliance, particularly in multinational settings.
• Qualified accountant with expertise in VAT and tax law.
• Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with database software.
• Proficient in ERP systems.
