Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Assessment Associate with Hungarian language expertise to join our team at Shell Business Operations. As a key member of our Credit Team, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operational management of credit risk for selected portfolio of customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers and monitor existing portfolio.
  • Perform risk assessments and make informed decisions while granting and extending credit limits.
  • Manage credit risk effectively, including handling securities and identifying when accounts may require legal intervention.
  • Release orders, block and unblock accounts, and interact with external credit agencies.
  • Adhere to credit policies and guidelines, and act as a business partner for Account Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver assigned projects and initiatives, and perform required analysis, reports, and controls.
  • Participate in cross-functional workstreams to resolve business process issues, and cooperate effectively with other departments.
Requirements
  • Very good knowledge of Hungarian language – C1.
  • Good knowledge of English language – B2/C1.
  • Degree in Economics, Accounting, or any related Finance/Business course.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience in Credit Assessment area will be an asset.
  • Understanding of AR/O2C processes, accounting standards, and financial statement analysis – nice to have.
  • Interested in Credit Risk.
  • Proactive approach and demonstrating full ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving approach.
  • Accuracy with attention to details.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiar with Excel, including working with pivot tables and formulas.

The Role

We are looking for a Credit Assessment Associate with Hungarian language, who will be responsible for the efficient and effective operational management of credit risk for selected portfolio of customers according to policies and directions from credit committees. The ideal candidate creates good working relationships with the local Credit Team and the other business partners. You will have an opportunity to use Hungarian language on a daily basis while talking to customers and stakeholders.
