Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Architect to design and architect a Universal Shopping Cart and Checkout system on Google Cloud Platform. The successful candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce and a proven track record of implementing highly available, resilient, high-traffic solutions on cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect a Universal Shopping Cart and Checkout solution leveraging Google Cloud Platform.
  • Develop highly scalable and resilient solutions capable of handling high transaction volumes and ensuring high uptime.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code. Utilize Spring Boot for microservices architecture.
  • Guide technical decisions, lead discussions, inspire innovation, and advocate for technology standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with various teams to translate business requirements into technology solutions. Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Identify technical and operational risks and work on mitigation strategies.
  • Advocate for development practices such as TDD and Pairing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on e-commerce systems.
  • Profound knowledge and experience in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Proven experience in designing and building applications on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with high-volume, high-availability e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex challenges effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
