Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Client stakeholders and product teams on technical feasibility and solutions.
  • Identify and create development requirements.
  • Review and creation of function and design specifications to ensure a full understanding of individual deliverables.
  • Engage in typical Agile and software development activities: backlog refining, planning, implementation, design and code reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Participate in all team activities through collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and define solutions to fix them duly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must have:

  • Written and spoken Japanese language proficiency (equivalent of at least JLPT N2 or higher).
  • Written and spoken English language proficiency (the equivalent of B2 or higher).
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills (to be working with Japan and CEE-based teams).
  • At least 7 years of relevant development experience in Java.
  • Good knowledge of Spring framework (Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, etc.) and Hibernate ORM.
  • Experience with relational databases, message brokers, building RESTful APIs, Docker (or similar).
  • Experience implementing CI/CD.
  • Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and integration testing.

Good to Have:

  • Experience in TDD (test-driven-development).
  • Experience in XML, UML.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in FinTech.
  • Self-reliant, motivated, quick learner, organized.
  • Having an EU Blue Card (non-EU citizens).
