About the RoleThis position involves working with various types of laser cutting processes to optimize production by ensuring efficient and precise cutting, reducing material waste, and improving product quality.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring laser machine in a safe manner.
- Loading and unloading material from machine, checking steel before running it through machine.
- Ensuring correct materials used cutting steel are clean and positioned correctly in machine.
- Performing tests on machine and adjusting settings and speed according to product specifications.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Set up and operate laser machine according to production schedule.
- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed.
- Maintain accurate record keeping of machine performance and production output.
- Troubleshoot errors and perform minor maintenance of machine to improve cut quality.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience with operating CNC machines (Mill or Lathe).
- Overhead crane and forklift certification.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
