Job Title: Cloud Platform Architect - Azure

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Architect to join our team in the role of Lead Cloud Platform Architect - Azure. As a key member of our Cloud team, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and delivery of our Azure cloud platform.

About the Role:
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Cloud Architects to evolve the Cloud Strategy and define the delivery of the strategy on the Azure Platform.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align technical and business processes, including the evaluation and implementation of appropriate tooling and automation.
  • Partner with Cloud Security Architects and Cloud Data Architects to inform their respective Cloud Strategies and provide subject matter expertise.
  • Engage with Product Managers to ensure HSBC's requirements are incorporated within their product roadmap and support the timely adoption of new technologies.
  • Provide escalation assistance to the Cloud Platform teams and understand appropriate Regulatory controls for Financial Institutions.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of Azure Cloud, including IaaS, PaaS, governance, and compliance services.
  • Experience as an Architecture practitioner in a large-scale organisation and the ability to extract requirements and make sound recommendations.
  • Track record of delivering significant change that improves business effectiveness in a sustainable way.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of influencing others and negotiating effectively.
