Senior Financial Controller for Finance and Administration

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Controller to join our Finance and Administration team in Wrocław, Poland. In this role, you will oversee the full spectrum of financial management, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective financial planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • SUPERVISION AND FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING: Lead and coordinate the accounting team, overseeing IFRS and tax accounting processes, ledgers, and procedures. Ensure high-quality financial statements and reports are prepared and submitted on time.
  • LIAISONS AND REPORTING: Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Controlling, HR, tax, and legal departments, as well as external institutions such as tax offices, customs, and auditors. Prepare and submit various reports, declarations, and returns, including JPK, VAT, CIT, and Intrastat.
  • EXTERNAL COORDINATION: Oversee international settlements, including WNT, WDT, Import, and Export transactions, ensuring accurate invoicing, currency exchange, and foreign invoice conversion. Liaise with banks, customs, and other relevant parties to resolve any issues.
  • TEAM LEADERSHIP: Lead the accounting team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • MINIMUM 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Proven track record in an independent accounting position and managing an accounting team.
  • IFRS EXPERTISE: In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and practical experience applying them.
  • FINANCIAL ACUMEN: Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • ERP SOFTWARE: Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and ability to implement and maintain it effectively.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluency in English (B2 level or higher).
