About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud AI Data Scientist to join our team at Google. As a key member of our engineering and product teams, you will have a substantial impact on various projects, leveraging your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and cloud computing.

Your primary responsibilities will include working on massive scalability and storage solutions, large-scale applications, and entirely new platforms for developers worldwide. You will evaluate and improve Google's products, collaborating with engineers and analysts on a wide range of problems.

You will bring scientific excellence and statistical methods to the challenges of product creation, development, and improvement, with an appreciation for end-user behaviors. In this role, you'll partner with engineering and product management teams developing GenAI-based development tools critical to developer productivity.

A conversational AI tool that enables users to collaborate with generative AI, helping augment their imagination, expand their curiosity, and enhance their productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business questions and translate them into tractable analysis or mathematical models.
  • Use custom data infrastructure or existing data models as appropriate, applying specialized knowledge to design and evaluate models.
  • Gather information around business questions, existing data infrastructure, and upcoming data infrastructure.
  • Own the process of gathering, extracting, and compiling data across sources, using relevant tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python).
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or 3 years of work experience with a PhD degree.
