About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior API Engineer to join our team at Sportradar Polska Sp. z o.o. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our API platform.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop a new API platform from scratch, incorporating modern API best practices and industry trends.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to drive the transition to a scalable, decoupled architecture.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to assist in decoupling from shared databases and rebuilding systems based on modern API principles.
  • Lead a small team of high-performing engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience with RESTful web services, Web APIs, and supporting technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with messaging solutions, such as Kafka, and asynchronous integration between services.
  • Deep knowledge of software engineering methodologies, including domain-driven design, trunk-based development, and test-driven development.
  • Strong programming experience with Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript.
  • Proficient in working with Relational Databases and querying with SQL.
  • Working experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Positive and inclusive communication and collaboration skills.
