Product Development Specialist

Are you ready to take your career to the next level in the food industry? Mondelēz International is seeking a Product Development Specialist to join our team.

This role will involve leading or participating in the execution of various chocolate development projects, ensuring consistency and technical precision, and managing and interpreting research data in a business-relevant way.

You will work closely with other developers and functions such as marketing, procurement, or supply-chain, influencing others and managing cross-functional projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, conducting, and executing small and middle-level projects and developing functional expertise.
  • Developing and implementing new chocolate tablets across the MEU Region.
  • Developing new products in line with consumer-centric design and P3DE principles, including prototypes development in Pilot Plant.
  • Creating and implementing digitalization, M&S tools to simplify project development.
  • Developing and agreeing all Technical Product Documentation (HACCP document, Specification, trails report, FPA-first production approving, Shelf-life tests, etc.).
  • Closely cooperating with Marketing, Operations, Consumer Science, Consumer Insight, Product Change Management, Procurement, Quality, External Manufacturing, and suppliers.

Requirements include:

  • A Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or Food Engineering.
  • Experience in the food industry and confectionery is a strong advantage.
  • General knowledge of food manufacturing technologies, ingredients, and technical curiosity, ability to operate or learn fast how to operate pilot plant equipment.
  • Enthusiasm and full accountability for results, self-standing, open, and ready to learn on the job.
  • Can-do attitude, thinking out of the box, creativity, and happy to take up challenges.
  • Ability to work independently, under time, resources, data constraints on daily tasks and projects.
  • Fluency in English is a must, other European language skills are beneficial.

We offer a fixed-term contract for 24 months.

The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland.
