Job Title: Application Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Development Engineer to join our team at Arista Networks. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software tools and Machine Learning models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create software to address specific customer needs and internal use cases.
  • Develop and implement software solutions using Agile frameworks and popular backend coding languages (Python, Golang).
  • Work on open-source development projects and contribute to the growth of our software ecosystem.
  • Provide technical support for products developed by the TAC Tools team.
  • Continued training to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Excellent written skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
  • Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in decision-making.
  • Maintain professional relationships with teammates, partners, and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from a four-year college or university or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Linux, Unix, C/C++, Golang.
  • Understanding of complete backend workflow for web apps and experience building third-party software integration and APIs.
  • Release engineering skills (pip, rpm, deb, rvm) and experience with CI platforms (Jenkins).
  • Working experience in relational databases (MariaDB, Postgres) and familiarity with Agile software development methodology.
  • Creative thinker and team player with excellent communication skills and resourcefulness.

Nice to Have:

  • Working experience in Docker and K8s deployments.
  • Working experience in AWS/GCP.
  • Working experience with Network technologies.
