CAD Designer Job Description

At TechnipFMC, we are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our team. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software. Your primary focus will be on 3D modeling and 2D drafting, ensuring that all designs meet quality and safety requirements. You will work closely with other team members to design, lay-out, and detail components and systems, and resolve design or other problems as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software
• Design and develop mechanical equipment specifications and drawings
• Collaborate with team members to ensure design and drafting quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve design issues

Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanics, Machine Design, or Mechanical Engineering)
• At least 1+ year of experience in product design and development using 3D CAD software (NX or Inventor preferred)
• Advanced English level (B2/C1)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, prints, mechanical drawings, and written technical information
• Good knowledge of parametric design, arrangements/configurations, ASME/ISO drafting standards
• Good understanding of manufacturing and welding processes
• Experience in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) or GPS (Geometrical Product Specification)
• Awareness of Tolerance Stack-up calculations for parts and assemblies
