Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mid Back-end Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for implementing backends and their interactions with various data stores and other APIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement backends and their interactions with various data stores and other APIs.
  • Port code from our legacy system into service-oriented architecture following Domain-Driven Design principles.
  • Work in an agile environment focusing on projects that are impactful on our business.
  • Support reliable databases and APIs for real-time automated decision-making.
  • Deploy software using industry-standard tooling like Kubernetes clusters, and Lambda functions.
  • Care deeply about security in everything you do and constantly raise the baseline of how we defend our user's data against external threats and themselves.
  • Implement robust automated test suites to ensure high quality and low failure rate of delivered code.
  • Work in a DevOps style to make sure Defense in Depth principles are followed and containers are as secure as humanly possible.
Requirements
  • At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience with backend development.
  • Practical knowledge of at least one relational database system, PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server.
  • Ability to engage in discussions and decisions regarding software design and architecture.
  • Experience implementing the test pyramid (unit, integration, e2e tests).
  • Good command of English (written & spoken).
  • Readiness to learn and expand your skill set as required by ongoing projects.
  • Availability in the afternoons - due to collaboration with the United States, evening meetings may occur.

  • Docker and container-based deployment technologies (Kubernetes/Fargate).
  • Automated software testing on unit/integration/end-to-end levels.
