Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Category Manager, Global Metal Procurement to join our diverse team at Stryker Group. As a key member of our Metals Division, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing processes to build a best-in-class strategic procurement organization. Your expertise in category management and supplier development will drive the implementation of category strategies, including spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, supplier selection, and financial analyses.

About You
- Bachelor's degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in supply management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development
- Experience operating in a highly regulated industry
- Demonstrated excellence in contractual negotiations and administration to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and services

Your Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement processes to build a best-in-class strategic procurement organization
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop best-in-class strategic procurement strategies for assigned categories in support of business objectives
- Drive implementation of category strategies which will include spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, supplier selection, and financial analyses
