Role Overview

The Chief Accountant will play a critical role in leading our accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of our financial information.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Managing a team of five financial professionals
  • Overseeing the accounting process including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and cash management
  • Preparing and submitting VAT declarations and other reports to tax and statistical local authorities
  • Managing Transfer Pricing activity
  • Coordinating statutory audits with external auditors
Requirements
  • Fluent in Polish and English
  • Certified Chartered Accountant
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance & other relevant certifications
  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with people management responsibilities
  • Previous experience in a large multinational company
  • Strong operational experience with Polish accounting standards & VAT law
  • Experience using financial software systems (experience with Wings, Symphony, Trintech, Hyperion Financial Management is preferred)
  • Fluency in MS Excel
  • Ability to liaise with different levels of management
  • Excellent communication skills, empathy, and team spirit
  • Ability to multitask and work towards strict deadlines
