The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile Engineer to join our Product squads, where collaboration and agility thrive. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing key components of our mobile app, leveraging your expertise in modern mobile application development frameworks and best practices in software engineering.

As a true expert in your field, you'll actively contribute to design discussions, share knowledge, and drive the adoption of new approaches, tools, and frameworks. With a deep understanding of software engineering principles and a passion for learning, you'll thrive in our dynamic environment.

This is a global role, requiring collaboration across different time zones. Flexibility is essential, as you'll navigate between Australian and European time zones, occasionally participating in early morning or late-night meetings. We prioritize our team's well-being, ensuring that your commitment is valued and respected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new features for our mobile applications using the latest technologies, architectures, and best practices.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code that ensures seamless functionality across devices.
  • Integrate observability and monitoring tools to guarantee the reliability and performance of our mobile apps.
  • Advocate for coding standards and identify opportunities for improvement in our development processes.
  • Mentor team members, supporting their growth in mobile development skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience developing native Android and iOS apps in commercial application development for mid-sized software/product companies in the digital/SaaS space.
  • Proficiency with Android SDKs and iOS SDKs, as well as up-to-date knowledge of modern Android and iOS development practices.
  • Kotlin and Swift commercial experience is required.
  • A passion for learning new languages, frameworks, and tools, with a focus on continual learning and evaluation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience in Agile and Lean development practices.
  • Fluent English (B2/C1).
