Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OT Infrastructure Specialist to join our Global organization. In this role, you will be part of the IIoT Connectivity team, working closely with key stakeholders in our manufacturing sites.

  • You will implement globally defined OT infrastructure initiatives, ensuring compliance regarding data acquisition, remote access, IIoT, cybersecurity, and other areas.
  • Organize and manage the lifecycle of the OT infrastructure with local stakeholders, including updates, upgrades, certificates, testing, and licensing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement globally defined OT infrastructure initiatives and ensure compliance regarding data acquisition, remote access, IIoT, cybersecurity, and other areas.
  2. Organize and manage the lifecycle of the OT infrastructure with local stakeholders, including updates, upgrades, certificates, testing, and licensing.
  3. Upskill and support global and local teams on the implemented OT infrastructure.
  4. Responsible for testing updates, upgrades, and new features on dedicated test infrastructure.
  5. Define standardizing best practices concerning all aspects of the OT infrastructure (configuration, troubleshooting, user management) together with regional and local teams.
  6. Contribute and collaborate on the future roadmap for OT infrastructure with a focus on improving cybersecurity.
  7. Proactively work together with partners on the roadmap of implemented solutions and communicate with the larger organization.
  8. Monitor performance, user management, and security to maintain alignment with global standards and attain desired service levels.
  9. Create and maintain global communities for sharing documentation, training sessions, common mistakes, quick tips, new features, and more.
  10. Finding synergies between existing IT infrastructure and the OT space.
  11. Support manufacturing sites on OT infrastructure challenges.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • University degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering, or Computer Sciences, or equivalent by experience.
  • 5 years' experience in IT/OT infrastructure.
  • Affinity for deep dive network and protocol analysis to solve complex communication issues.
  • Enhanced knowledge on the TCP/IP stack and network communication.
  • Understanding of (Azure) Active Directory.
  • Understanding of virtualization and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of principles of common networking environments (Firewall, Switch, Subnetting, ...).
  • Strong interest in cybersecurity.
  • Strong work ethic and transparency. Positive, proactive attitude with a Strong Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Great communicator, both verbal and written.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Up to 25% international and domestic travel is required.
