ESG Strategist

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an ESG Strategist - Sustainable Finance Leader to join our team. As a key member of our sustainability department, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of our ESG strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Citi Handlowy's ESG strategy, ensuring that all ESG tasks and goals are assigned to the appropriate business units.

• Support the development of sustainable finance products, including Sustainable Supply Chain Finance and Green Deposits.

• Collaborate closely with unit leaders across the bank to drive and monitor the execution of ESG strategy.

• Monitor and develop the Target Operating Model, defining ESG roles and responsibilities within the bank.

• Establish long-term ESG targets and work with different units to develop pathways for achieving them.

• Prepare ESG strategy presentations and ad-hoc analysis for senior management and the management board.

• Stay up-to-date on evolving ESG regulatory guidelines and best market practice standards affecting the Polish financial sector.

• Lead engagement with investors and rating agencies on ESG matters.

• Conduct ESG benchmarking across the Polish financial sector and manage the maintenance and development of ESG sector data.

• Develop and update ESG content on the bank's website.

Requirements:

• University degree in Sustainability Management, Business Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in the sustainability field, preferably in consulting or auditing within the financial sector.

• Strong understanding of sustainability issues and their impact on business and the financial sector.

• Excellent analytical skills, proficient in Excel, and comfortable analyzing large datasets and explaining complex trends to others.

• Experience in developing sustainability strategies and knowledge of corporate sustainability reporting standards (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, SASB, etc.).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

• Demonstrated project management skills, including creating work plans and meeting deadlines.

• Expertise in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

• Strong research and investigative skills, with the ability to evaluate and assess complex topics.

• Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.

• Fluency in Polish and English.
