Embedded C Software Engineer - Board Support Package

Aptiv Connected Services is a leading provider of vehicle telematics and data analytics solutions to auto manufacturers and fleets. We are seeking an experienced Embedded C Software Engineer to join our Edge Platform team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge edge computing solutions.

Your Role

As a BSP Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing embedded Linux operating systems, including u-boot, kernel, and drivers, for Aptiv Connected Edge System using Yocto. You will also work on board bring-up, integration, and design testing with hardware engineers, as well as design, implement, and test embedded security and edge computing solutions on Linux.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement embedded Linux operating systems, including u-boot, kernel, and drivers, for Aptiv Connected Edge System using Yocto.
  • Work on board bring-up, integration, and design testing with hardware engineers.
  • Design, implement, and test embedded security and edge computing solutions on Linux.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from product management, architecture, and other engineering teams across Aptiv Connected Services and external implementation partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar.
  • 2-3 years' experience developing embedded Linux operating systems, including kernel, driver, u-boot, and system configuration.
  • 2-3 years' experience in C programming.
  • 2-3 years' experience with Yocto Linux build system.
  • Experience with UART and SPI.
  • Proven ability to meet commitments and deliver projects within specified timelines.
  • Demonstrable experience using JIRA for planning and reporting.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working with multi-site teams and with international project delivery.
