Visual Design Lead for IoT Applications

At intent, we are currently looking to expand our team with a talented Senior Product Designer, who will play a key role in shaping the visual and interaction aspects of our IoT applications. With over 10+ years of experience in conceptualizing, designing, and building apps for connected devices, our agency mode supports international clients creating innovative solutions that bridge physical hardware and digital applications.
Some of our recent projects include apps for a manicure machine, brainwave-monitoring headphones designed to track and improve focus levels, a smart ring that helps women monitor their health and well-being, and leading audio equipment brand that needed help in complex app rebranding.
We operate in an interdisciplinary project environment, where teams comprise project managers, designers, developers, and QAs. Our projects typically run from 3 to 9 months, focusing mostly on MVPs and app redesigns. As a result, you will have the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders, including clients, and contribute to the development of our design system.
We are seeking an individual who has:
- Expertise in designing micro-interactions and animations to enhance user experience;
- A passion for mobile technology with in-depth knowledge of iOS and Android platform guidelines;
- Mastery of Figma and experience in Design Systems creation;
- Strong presentation skills, confidently explaining design decisions to clients (English B2/C1 proficiency at least);
- Balance artistic approach with usability and accessibility knowledge;
- And if you're also experienced in creating apps for the Health, Well-being or Audio industry, or have experience in remote work in an agency environment or as a freelancer, that's a big plus
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Creating visual guidelines based on the client's branding or from scratch during art-direction workshops;
- Ensuring Figma serves as a clear and comprehensive design documentation for both the team and the client;
- Working closely with developers to ensure your designs are technically feasible and that the implementation aligns with your vision;
- Collaborating with UX designers to review wireframes, challenge ideas, and provide your perspective;
- Leading client presentations to showcase your designs and ensure the client embraces your vision;
- Supporting the sales team and Team Leader in creating design effort estimates;
- Developing internal best practices motion & interaction guidelines.
You'll be working day-to-day with an interdisciplinary project team, but that doesn't mean you'll be isolated from other designers at our company. The design team is a group of talented individuals who regularly come together to share lessons learned from projects, and the latest trends in design, and enjoy some laughs and conversation.
The salary for this position is around $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, and includes a range of benefits, such as flexible working hours, professional development opportunities, and access to cutting-edge design tools.
