Job Description

We are seeking a Financial Crime Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a Financial Crime Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our business operations and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize DD processes to ensure their efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Address AML KYC questions from the DD team as the first point of escalation.
  • Maintain working tools operational and up-to-date.
  • Analyze complex cases from a Luxembourg AML/CTF policy perspective, performing DD, gathering information on clients engaging in contractual relationships, and investors looking to invest in funds.
  • Perform DD on existing relationships and investors on a regular basis according to internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure completeness of DD document files and retention of evidence of performed DD, ODD, and findings.
  • Perform detailed preliminary DD linked to the onboarding of existing businesses migrating to UI EFA to assess status of incoming files. Where necessary, implement a remediation exercise once the migration has taken place.
  • Monitor processes related to initiatives concerning fiscal transparency such as FATCA and CRS.
  • Assist line management in preparing reports for internal and external parties, including Management Companies, AIFMs, GPs, official TAs, and authorities where relevant, on ODD status, blocked accounts, high-risk individuals, and ad hoc demands.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent is required.
  • Relevant experience in the financial industry with exposure to international regulations (around 5 years); knowledge of Luxembourg's AML framework would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with an international investor base and proven exposure to AML matters and DD programs is necessary.
  • You must have knowledge of both traditional funds and private assets investors, complex structures.
  • Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of German or French is also required.
  • Good command of Excel and ideally good knowledge of Open-Source Intelligence techniques are expected.
  • Excellent analytical, summarizing, and drafting skills are necessary.
  • Proactivity, a solution-driven approach, and ability to take initiative are key qualities for this role.
