VP Information Technology and Data Director

We are seeking a motivated and experienced VP Information Technology and Data Director to join our Centralized Functions Team within the Global Credit Finance Division. In this role, you will work closely with business leaders to achieve organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive IT, information system, and data architecture.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Define division IT architecture by analyzing information requirements, determining systems architecture, components, and technologies, and studying business operations and user-interface requirements.
  • Plan, design, and develop advanced data, system, and reporting capabilities.
  • Engage with leadership and diversified stakeholder groups to understand their data and analytics needs and recommend BI or data solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
  • Partner with the business and technical teams to define the data elements and data structure that the team should leverage to enable analytical capabilities.
  • Develop a comprehensive Data Management framework and risk management structure.
  • Standardize data and report production/consumption across all GCF groups. Design, implement, and support platforms that provide business teams ad-hoc access to large datasets (e.g., data visualization tools for non-tech business users).
  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Build commitment to information strategy by considering and evaluating different points of view; creating a cohesive argument.
  • Achieve human resource objectives by managing a team – recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and managing performance of staff including Data Mgr., Data Architect, Data Analyst, and a Systems Administrator.
  • Improve information usefulness by tracking emerging technologies; evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational requirements.

Qualifications:


  • A bachelor's degree in data management/computer science, accounting, finance, economics, or business with 15+ years of relevant experience working at a financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services organization; or a master's degree in business administration (MBA) with 10+ years of relevant experience working at a financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services organization.
  • Knowledge of industries, including Credit lending, custody, fund administration, and investment management.
  • Experience in a strategy-focused data role across the front, middle, or back office where you will have driven change and transformation that had a real impact to the business.
  • Extensive experience in communicating with senior management.
