About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Electrical Engineer in the Offshore Construction department at Siemens Gamesa in Gdansk, Poland.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to take up the role of Lead Nominated Person in our Hazardous Energy department. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and managing a Safe System of Work, including the Control of Hazardous Energy (CoHE) function, on our offshore projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist construction project management in preparing project-specific documentation.
  • Verify generic isolation points against project-specific documentation.
  • Prepare site-specific LWP templates and EIP packages.
  • Ensure the correct LWP templates and EIPs are available for nominated personnel.
  • Supervise the CoHE instruction and CoHE log.
  • Be the site contact person to the ENR team.
  • Carry out appropriate training as required for CoHE.
  • Ensure appropriate numbers of training sessions are in place for the project to utilize regarding CoHE training.
  • Ensure the safe system of work is being utilized correctly on the project, that procedures are being adhered to, and that documentation is being checked periodically for compliance.
  • Ensure (if contractually applicable) that suitable LOTO equipment/PPE is available for projects to utilize for works with hazardous energies.
  • Perform second reviews and/or releases of LWP templates and EIPs.
  • Travel to sites.
Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering and hazardous energy management. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering or a related field and will be certified as an electrician. Experience with electrical, control systems, and hydraulic and mechanical systems is essential. The successful candidate will be able to interact with stakeholders high and low in the organization as well as external stakeholders and clients.
