Job Description

This exciting opportunity is available in the field of cybersecurity, with a focus on protecting offboard systems for connected vehicles. As a Cybersecurity Threat Defender, you will be responsible for monitoring our perimeter, analyzing potential threats, and implementing strategies to mitigate risks to cloud services, mobile applications, and cybersecurity-related processes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of offboard systems to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats.
  
• Monitor external digital assets for signs of intrusion, malware, and unauthorized access attempts.
  
• Manage and coordinate external security pentests conducted by our red team or third parties.
  
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all offboard systems.
  
• Develop and maintain our incident response plan for offboard systems, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to manage and mitigate cybersecurity incidents.
  
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies affecting the automotive industry and offboard systems.
  
• Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures for managing the security of offboard systems.
  
• Work with suppliers and partners to ensure their systems and services meet our cybersecurity standards.
  
• Prepare regular reports for management on the status, threats, and security health of offboard systems, security audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks for all offboard systems and networks.
  

Requirements

• 
  
• Degree in Computer Science, Information technology, or a related field.
  
• 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity analyst role, with a focus on external-facing systems preferred.
  
• Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, and application security best practices.
  
• Experience with security assessment tools and techniques, such as penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and risk assessment methodologies.
  
• Proficient in analyzing and interpreting logs and alerts from various security tools.
  
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM) are a plus.
