About the Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Data Scientist to lead our forecasting efforts and drive business growth through accurate predictions and informed decision-making.

In this role, you will develop and refine predictive models, integrate new technologies and algorithms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance forecast accuracy and effectiveness.

  • Develop and refine predictive models using advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms
  • Integrate new technologies and algorithms to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and incorporate additional data sources and expertise
  • Assess and refine forecasting models through backtesting and performance evaluation
  • Explore new methodologies, tools, and technologies in time series forecasting and predictive analytics
  • Propose and implement improvements based on cutting-edge advancements in AI and forecasting algorithms
  • Work closely with the Cash Planning department to enhance forecast accuracy and effectiveness
  • Integrate forecasting models into business workflows and monitor performance in production
  • Create dashboards and presentations to communicate insights and model performance.

Requirements

What You'll need:

  • Residing in or near Warsaw
  • Fluency in both Polish and English
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a relevant role
  • Proficiency in R (tidyverse, tidymodels) and/or Python (pandas, statsmodels, prophet, sklearn)
  • Expertise in Time Series Forecasting
  • Strong background in Machine Learning, Predictive Modeling, and Statistics
  • Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation
  • Familiarity with Linux and Git
  • Strong skills in data visualization and storytelling
  • Ability to solve business problems using Data Exploration and Machine Learning
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.

Nice to have:

  • Masters degree in a relevant field
  • Familiarity with the latest technologies and frameworks in Data Science, AI, and Forecasting
  • Expertise Deep Learning (PyTorch, Keras) for advanced forecasting techniques
  • Experience in both Business Analysis and Data Science, with a focus on time series forecasting
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services and Microsoft Fabric
  • Knowledge of R Shiny and/or Streamlit for developing interactive dashboards.
