Databricks Data Engineer Job Description

This role focuses on designing and implementing technical solutions using data modeling, integrations, data warehouses, and cloud-based data pipelines on the Databricks platform.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Built-in ETL/ELT data pipelines on the Databricks platform utilizing Python and SQL;
  • Designing data models based on large, complex data sets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements;
  • Holistic platform view (source systems, networking, orchestration, etc.) with the ability to deliver business value;
  • Collaborating within project teams to meet client needs and deliver high-quality solutions;
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest functionalities of Databricks.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • Minimum 4 years commercial experience in data projects;
  • Proficiency with both Python and SQL;
  • Experience in using Databricks on Azure projects;
  • Experience with Airflow, Databricks Workflows, or other orchestration tool;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest functionalities of Databricks (like delta tables, unity catalog, or iceberg integration);
  • Practical understanding of data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse platforms implementation;
  • Experience with Azure, its infrastructure, and data services;
  • Effective communication skills, proficient in Polish and English;
  • You also must have the legal right to work in the EU to apply for this position.
