Operations Researcher

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Researcher to join our team at CAE Flight Operations Solutions. As an Operations Researcher, you will play a key role in implementing optimization engines within the context of flight operations.

• Interpret business requirements and convert them into parameters understandable by a mathematical engine.
• Collaborate with airline teams to understand their processes and identify areas for optimization.
• Develop and maintain reports to explain the impact of optimization on airline operations.
• Write Python scripts to analyze data and draw insights on optimization.
• Communicate the results of optimization engines to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

• Strong understanding of airline processes, particularly in Crew Planning or Disruption Management.
• Previous experience with optimization engines in an airline context.
• Bachelor's degree (with Honours) or higher in Operations Research, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Knowledge of large-scale integer programming software such as Gurobi or CPLEX (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Python scripting.
