You will play a key part in creating secure, scalable, and high-performing back-end applications that support the mission of protecting human health, animal welfare, and food safety within Europe.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing Back-End Web Applications: Implementing core business logic, designing, and optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  2. Designing APIs: Creating seamless integration with other systems.
  3. Implementing Security Measures: Ensuring compliance and confidentiality.
  4. Participating in Design and Creation: Of scalable software solutions.
  5. Maintaining Code Integrity: Writing clean, functional code on the back-end and ensuring code organization.
  6. Troubleshooting Issues: Compiling and analyzing data, processes, and codes to identify areas for improvement.
Your Requirements:
  • A proven background of 7+ years in back-end development with Java (JDK8 or later) and JEE (version 7 or later), including XML and SOAP-based web services (e.g., JAX-WS).
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle RDBM for database management.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Git or SVN for version control and collaboration tools, particularly the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo).
  • A thorough understanding of the web development cycle, programming techniques, and optimization methods.
  • Expertise in implementing security and data protection for high-compliance environments.
  • Solid organizational, time-management, and communication skills, with the ability to integrate into an international and multicultural environment.
