We are seeking a skilled Vendor Manager to join our team at Maersk. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging business environment, characterized by high pace, diversity, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily vendor performance, ensuring on-time delivery, capacity allocation, and proper volume distribution according to procurement guidelines.
- Collaborate with execution teams to align vendor assignments with the overall procurement strategy.
- Analyze execution cycles to verify that required capacity is consistently met on a daily basis.
- Develop improvement plans when vendors are falling short of delivery requirements or capacity provisions.
- Manage and cultivate key supplier relationships, ensuring commitments to vendors are honoured.
- Create and maintain relevant KPIs and dashboards, presenting and reviewing them with Vendors and stakeholders.
- Identify recurring service issues and collaborate with vendors to address them effectively.
- Act as a bridge between operations, procurement, and finance departments for important commercial decisions.
- Facilitate onboarding of new vendors, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
- Serve as an internal and external escalation point, taking ownership of problem resolution.
- Develop, standardize, and optimize procedures to foster constructive relationships between stakeholders involved in the inland process.
- Secure Ad-hoc quotes and capacity for physical inland products as required.
