We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team in Sopra Steria's Apps Services group. This position is part of a project for a major aeronautical manufacturer in the aerospace sector.
The ideal candidate will work in an industrial, stable environment as part of a multinational team (France, Poland, Canada). The program involves a wide portfolio of applications developed by multiple teams using modern technologies. For instance, these applications support pilots, crew, and airline staff in planning flights or various airport operations.
The successful applicant will have extensive experience with cloud infrastructure and be proficient in AWS services. They will also possess strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, and TypeScript. Additionally, knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, CloudFormation, and Artifactory is necessary.
This role requires a strong understanding of microservices-based architecture, static code analysis, and end-to-end testing. The candidate should be familiar with tools like Selenium, Python, and Gherkin for testing purposes.
In this position, you will be responsible for configuration and deployment of infrastructure elements in AWS using CloudFormation, creating and maintaining pipelines in GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins, and advising the development team on the implementation of AWS services.
You will also contribute to integration, deployment, and monitoring of services, cooperate with a scrum team of developers, and ensure high test coverage (90%) through automated testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) using CloudFormation
- Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and/or Jenkins
- Familiarity with AWS services, including Lambda, SAM, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, and other relevant services
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, and TypeScript
- Knowledge of microservices-based architecture, static code analysis, and end-to-end testing
- Familiarity with tools like Selenium, Python, and Gherkin for testing purposes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent English language skills (B2/C1 level)
