Senior Technical Writer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer to join our team at N-iX. As a key member of our documentation team, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive and user-friendly documentation for our Data Warehouse and BI platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for our Data Warehouse and BI platform, ensuring it is clear, concise, and easily understandable by various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and business teams to gather necessary information for documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation is consistent with software and hardware releases.
  • Organize and manage documentation repositories to ensure easy access and maintenance.
  • Review and edit content created by other technical team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in technical writing.
  • Provide training and support materials to help users make the most of our Data Warehouse and BI tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (4+ years) as a Technical Writer, creating technical documentation for software development projects.
  • Strong proficiency in English, with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with documentation tools and platforms, such as Confluence, MadCap Flare, or similar.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear and concise documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data warehouse documentation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Basic understanding of SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Previous experience in the retail sector.
  • Certification in Technical Writing or related skills.
