At monday.com, we are seeking a skilled Database Reliability Architect to join our rapidly growing DBRE team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional to make a lasting impact on the future of our product.

The DBRE team is responsible for the hundreds of production and pre-production database environments that run monday.com. Our environment is high-scale and high-throughput, with systems processing hundreds of thousands of queries per second.

We offer a hybrid work system, with three days in the office and two days remotely.

About The Role

  • As a Database Reliability Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of our databases, guaranteeing smooth operation while maintaining required performance and scale.
  • You will participate in the team's projects, including building automations for complex scenarios, automating observability, and introducing new technologies to the company.
  • Support developers when designing new features and migrating data.
  • Become a subject matter expert in RDBMS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Redis, AWS, Go, Python, Kubernetes, Linux, and Node.js.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building robust scripts and solutions for database self-management by developers.
  • Developing change management solutions using Terraform and other tools.

Your Experience & Skills

  • A proven track record of 5+ years working with performance optimization and scaling out data worldwide.
  • Coding experience and understanding of code and software environment.
  • Experience with cloud environments and tools.
  • Leadership experience, including POCing different technologies and rolling out new solutions to the production environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, seeing a big picture, and system architecture planning.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and empathy.
  • Degree in Computer Science (not required).
