Job Description

As a Webscraping Engineer, you will be part of a global team that combines technical expertise with cutting-edge technology to obtain valuable data for our investment teams. Your role will involve designing and implementing robust pipelines for delivering alternative datasets from various web-based sources.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reliable pipelines for data delivery.
  • Work closely with investment staff to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Implement quality control checks to ensure data accuracy and availability.
  • Set up alerting systems and investigate critical data incidents for uninterrupted operations.
  • Create and develop tools to enhance the Webscraping platform.
  • Take part in on-call rotations to support our products and investors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 1-3 years of software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python (including pandas) and SQL/Database skills.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML/JS, APIs) and networking.
  • Proficiency in Linux (Windows experience a plus).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
