About the Role

sennder is Europe's leading digital freight forwarder, revolutionizing the logistics industry with cutting-edge technology. We're seeking a skilled Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our Asset Planning team, developing a logistics platform that efficiently manages and schedules assets such as trucks, trailers, and drivers.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in building and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient software systems, with hands-on experience in designing and developing complex event-driven architectures and asynchronous systems, particularly with microservices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and innovating new solutions within our team's scope, participating in brainstorming new ideas, solving complex problems, and transforming them into actionable designs.
  • Taking ownership of the team's components and libraries, ensuring their consistency and effectiveness, and leading architectural designs and guiding mid-sized projects from inception to completion.
  • Collaborating with talented and experienced engineers within an empowered, autonomous, and agile team environment, creating documentation and enhancing test automation to maintain the high quality of our products.
  • Actively participating in the development of a robust event-driven microservice architecture and micro-frontend framework, leading efforts to improve engineering standards and processes, increasing efficiency across technical operations.
  • Collaborating with product managers to design and plan features that are ready for launch, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  • Being an active participant in both backend and frontend developer communities within the company, promoting best practices in software engineering and fostering collaboration between teams.

This role will require you to leverage your full stack expertise and leadership skills to not only deliver on current technological needs but also to drive innovation for future challenges.

Requirements

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer with a strong foundation in building and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient software systems. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in event-driven and asynchronous systems, particularly with microservices.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or similar, and the ability to leverage these environments to optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Strong programming skills in Typescript, Node.js, and one common front-end framework, preferably Vue.js.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment practices and infrastructure as code.
