Job Overview
Ring AI Data Management is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of large-scale data warehouse solutions. This role involves collaborating with engineering and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, evaluating and implementing efficient distributed storage and query techniques, and interacting and integrating with internal and external teams and systems.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and develop innovative solutions.
  2. Design, model, and implement large, evolving datasets, including structured and unstructured data.
  3. Evaluate and implement efficient distributed storage and query techniques to optimize data processing and analytics.
  4. Develop and maintain robust and scalable code with clear documentation.
  5. Implement test automation to ensure high-quality code delivery.

About the Team
The Ring AI Data Management team owns tools and services for Ring's growing ML-based R&D needs. We collaborate in teams dedicated to customer needs, and the services powering them. We lean towards bias for action and quick decision making.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Multiple years of industry experience in data engineering or a related field.
  2. Proficiency in writing complex SQL with PostgreSQL, Redshift, or other RDBMS.
  3. Coding proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Scala, Java.
  4. Experience in data modelling, data warehousing, and building ETL/ELT pipelines.
  5. Experience with AWS, including Redshift, S3, RDS, Athena, Elastic MapReduce.
  6. Data modelling experience and data warehouse technical architectures, reporting/analytic tools.
