Samsung R&D Institute Poland is seeking a skilled Backend Software Developer to join our team working on the Samsung Wallet solutions. The project encompasses a full product scope, including payment solutions, digital identity, and value-added services such as tickets and membership cards.
We're dedicated to developing innovative solutions that improve and simplify our lives while increasing security. Our mobile payments technology is revolutionizing the market, and digital ID will change the way we interact between offline and online life.
As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with international colleagues, and contribute to the development of software engineering best practices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining new and existing services and apps
- Supporting the commercialization phase of the Wallet App for EU region
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to software engineering best practices
- Supporting the full software development lifecycle of solution backend
- Participating in international meetings
- Researching innovative Digital Identity/authentication solutions
- Developing the backend for PoC and commercial Digital ID solutions
- Implementing and maintaining security and data protection measures
Key Technologies Used
- Java/Kotlin, Spring-Boot
- RDBMS, NoSQL, Messaging System, Caching System
- Cloud Computing, Containerization
- Git, Jira, Confluence
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Java Backend Developer
- Excellent knowledge of Spring Framework, REST API, SQL
- Knowledge of NoSQL, Messaging and Caching Systems
- Knowledge of authn/z protocols and frameworks
- Knowledge of the Linux environment
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in computer science, telecommunication, or other STEM field
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to write clean and high-quality code
- Good English and Polish communication level
