About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our cross-functional development team at Backbase in Kraków. As a Junior QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of our digital banking platform, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and execute automated and manual tests that cover functional and non-functional requirements.
- Provide test evidence and reports, and comment on test designs and plans.
- Participate and conduct peer reviews of automated test scripts and maintain test automation pipelines.
- Get involved in broader quality initiatives to continuously improve testing processes.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience writing, executing, and debugging automated and manual tests.
- Hands-on coding experience with Java.
- Mobile automation testing experience, with the ability to set up your own testing environment. TestNG and REST assured preferred.
- Understanding of the SDLC process and its application with continuous integration tools like Jenkins. Experience in GitHub Actions is a plus.
- A proactive approach, allowing you to be self-providing and quick learning, to mitigate impediments.
- Working knowledge of Playwright or K6 is a plus.
- Availability to work in Kraków or nearby area, with willingness to come to the office twice per week.
