Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead VFX Artist to join our team and contribute to the creation of groundbreaking visuals for Project Hadar. The successful candidate will lead the VFX team, design efficient pipelines, and collaborate with other disciplines to deliver stunning results.
Main Responsibilities
- Recruit, lead, mentor, and guide VFX artists, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Develop and optimize VFX workflows to ensure seamless collaboration across teams.
- Design and implement particle effects for Project Hadar in Unreal Engine 5, staying ahead of industry trends.
- Collaborate with multiple disciplines to support gameplay, characters, cinematics, environments, and other aspects requiring VFX expertise.
- Work with directors and Production to craft project vision and estimate workloads.
- Research new workflows, techniques, and tools to continually improve VFX quality and efficiency.
- Ensure VFX content meets performance and budget requirements.
Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in the gaming industry, preferably with leadership roles.
- Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, with experience in building and optimizing VFX pipelines.
- A commitment to taking ownership, setting goals, exchanging knowledge, and driving initiatives independently.
- Experience with real-time and baked simulation, as well as standard 3D software like Max, Maya, or Blender.
- Strong understanding of rendering techniques, real-time shaders, lighting, and performance optimization.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
