Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Data Modeling Expert to join our team at AirHelp. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable data models in SQL to support analytics and reporting.

You will work closely with our data scientists and analysts to develop and optimize data transformations, ensuring efficient and reliable data pipelines. Your expertise in data warehousing principles and concepts will be essential in optimizing data warehouse performance by tuning queries, indexing, and storage strategies.

To succeed in this role, you will need a solid understanding of data transformation and data modeling using dbt framework. Experience with data visualization platforms such as Periscope, Looker, or Tableau is also desirable.

In addition to your technical skills, you will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.

About the Role:
  • Design and build scalable data models in SQL to support analytics and reporting
  • Develop and optimize data transformations to ensure efficient and reliable data pipelines
  • Optimize data warehouse performance by tuning queries, indexing, and storage strategies
  • Evaluate data quality and validation through automated testing, monitoring, and anomaly detection
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or an equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with data transformation and data modeling using dbt framework
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and concepts
  • Solid understanding of Data Lake/ Lake House deployment using Snowflake or similar Cloud Data Warehousing solution
  • Experience with data visualization platforms (Periscope, Looker, Tableau or others)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
