Senior Frontend Developer works in a scrum team that develops the next generation of ecommerce frontend.

In this role, you will participate in the implementation of technical and process innovations in frontend development, help in solving emerging challenges and technical problems, and support the skill community by sharing your knowledge and experience with other frontend experts.

Main responsibilities:

  • Leading topics related to implementation in the next generation frontend for ecommerce.
  • Providing technical consultation on frontend-related topics.
  • Taking part in code review to help improve the team's knowledge and suggest improvements.
  • Acting as a mentor and guide on technical issues for junior developers.
  • Investigating the latest technology and building quick proof-of-concept functionalities to address future business needs.
  • Promoting best-in-class development principles and quality standards, such as Clean Code and BDD/TDD.
  • Contributing to the Development Community of Practice to agree and endorse development principles and best practices for the company's development teams.
  • Helping the organization structure complex engineering issues, including technology, development methodologies, Continuous Improvement, and Continuous Delivery.

Qualifications and skills:

  • 5+ years of proven track record in this role, preferably in an international and multicultural environment working in classical and virtual teams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP) for software development and DevOps.
  • Results-oriented, with a proven track record of delivering on targets.
  • Strong fundamentals in software design and development.
  • Professional experience in JavaScript development, including proven track records for NextJS, React, and TypeScript.
  • Experience in writing unit tests (e.g., Jest and other testing utilities).
  • Solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts.
  • Knowledge of CSS pre-processors and frameworks (preferably SCSS).
  • Knowledge of architecture design patterns and software craftsmanship principles (Clean Code, Clean Coder, Clean Architecture).
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery using continuous delivery tooling, such as Jenkins/AzureDevOps, and practical experience with Docker containerization.
  • Understanding of performance, cross-browser/cross-device development, testing, optimization, and frontend performance requirements.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of UX and design sensibilities, wireframe tools like Abstract, Figma, tracking tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), is a plus.
